SEPTEMBER 18-20   2009
My focus for this exhibition was to
explore those things that we keep
away in the cupboard to only use on
those 'special occasions'.  The things
that are 'too good' to use... like the
good lace, or in my case beautiful
Japanese origami paper.
This piece is called
'CONFUSION AND COMFORT'
and for me represents the challenges that the
'fire-folk' are experiencing. There are some
days that you feel big and shiny but others
that you feel a bit rough or wobbly. I have
included a wee Goddess bead, a bronze leaf,
some bits upon bits, some smooth hollow
beads, some twisted beads and some rough
beads. Most of them are made with the
'Kinglake Bottle' glass and others are made
with Moretti glass.
